Nutrition Challenge 2020 - Week 2

I’m hoping this first week of the Nutrition Challenge has been a stretching, yet positive experience for you. Our team has loved hearing and seeing the ways you are embracing the challenges presented to you! Now for Week 2 of the challenge!

Remember, our mantra is:

  • Eat REAL food

  • Mostly plants

  • Not too much

Week 1 brought the heat on the quality of food we eat with 800g of fruits and veggies each day. This week’s challenge helps us tackle that issue and bring some constraints to the quantity of food we consume.

One thing I know about us...very few (If any) of our wisest decisions are made late at night. On the flip side, I’m guessing we’ve all made some dumb decisions late at night. This week, we add a constraint that will help us avoid making poor late night decisions that can tank our nutrition goals.

In addition to getting our 800g of fruits and veggies, we will now challenge ourselves by not eating for 12hrs each day. You choose the window of time that works for you.

This could be viewed as an intro to intermittent fasting, although thats not the intent. The real intent is to put contraints in place to avoid us making choices about our nutrition we may soon regret. At the end of the day, your will power is taxed and its easy to grab something comforting, or eat out of boredom. The 12-hour window helps us avoid those emotional decisions.
